Overall height is 71.8 inches, and the overall width, without mirrors, is 79.9 inches. The standard wheels are 20-inch eight-spoke aluminum with all-season tires. The GLS 450 has a 3.0L inline-six turbo engine under the hood. This engine is rated for 362 horsepower at 5,500-6,100 rpm and 369 pound-feet of torque at 1,600-4,500 rpm. EQ Boost is also standard. This system uses an electric motor to provide an acceleration boost, round out the power curve while the turbocharger is spinning up and even help conserve fuel. Mercedes-Benz pairs this engine with a 9G-TRONIC® nine-speed automatic transmission. The 4MATIC® fully variable all-wheel-drive system is standard. This advanced 4MATIC® all-wheel drive system can operate as fully front-wheel drive for better fuel performance and smoother highway driving but can distribute power between the front and rear wheels up to 50:50 when the additional traction is needed.
